How to Create a Free Apple Developer Account
We might need an Apple Developer Account to run our iOS apps on our iPhone or iPad and to access beta releases, Xcode developer tools, developer forums and submitting bug reports with feedback assistant.
Let’s get set up with a free account with zero costs.
First, go to developer.apple.com and click Account.
Now we're asked to log into the Member Center. We have two options.
1. Log in with existing Apple ID
We might have an Apple ID if we're already using Apple's services. We can either use same Apple ID to sign up for an Apple Developer Account or create a new Apple ID.
2. Create a new Apple ID
If we don't have an Apple ID we can create new Apple ID to access all Apple services.
Once we’ve successfully logged in, we’re asked to accept the Apple Developer Agreement. Check the boxes and continue to the next page.
Our Apple ID gives us access to free Apple Developer Account and all Apple services. With this we can run any iPhone or iPad apps on our devices. Also get access to WWDC videos, the Human Interface Guidelines, documentation, helpful tips for app promotion, and much more.
Notice that, we should have that $99/year paid Apple Developer account to publish apps in the App Store. Also we can not download any iOS, macOS or other beta versions using this free account.
